AC Milan Unveil New Looks for 2014/15 with New Home and Third Kits

The third jersey will take to the field in the match against Atalanta on Sunday. The kit is inspired by the traditional Brazilian colors of yellow and green. The colors were selected as a tribute to the Brazilian players who have had a hand in writing the history of the Serie A side.

“The next season’s third jersey is a special a tribute to Brazil: a country with an unparalleled football tradition and that will soon be the center of the football world. Our club has a special bond with this country and this shirt is also a tribute to the millions of AC Milan fans in Brazil who always supported us with incredible passion.”
The jersey is a solid yellow with the v-neck collar, adidas 3-stripes down the 1/2 the sleeves, adidas logo, and Fly Emirates logo in dark green. The team crest is worn over the heart. There is a red/black stripe across the middle of the sleeve.
Not so surprisingly, Brazil happens to be one of the countries with the most AC Milan supporters outside of Italy.
The home jersey will make the on-field debut in the last game on the Serie A season. AC Milan host Sassuolo on Sunday, May 18,. The new jersey takes an innovative approach to the traditional red and blacks stripes.
The feature that stands out the most is the vertical stripes. For the first time in the history of the jersey, they stripes are of different widths and color tones. The central black stripe is wider than the others while the red stripes are of different shades of red.
The width and color are only the first of the changes. The jersey features a 2-button stub collar that seamlessly flows from the center stripe. The white adidas 3-stripes stand -out going to 1/2 the sleeve. The bottom half of the sleeve is a solid red with a black cuff.
The jersey logo will also catch the eyes of fans and pays tribute to tradition. The St. George’s Cross is a part of the town flag and takes its place on the left chest. The cross is part of the AC Milan logo.
