Chelsea Unveil 2014/15 Home Jersey

The horizontal striping creates an interesting look with the lighter stripes thicker at the top of the jersey while the darker dominate the bottom of the jersey. The sleeves are a solid blue and have the 3-stripes going down ¾ of the outseam of the sleeve. The jersey is made from ClimaCool and has a crew collar. The back of the jersey is a solid blue.
The jersey, which is available for pre-order, is being promoted with the ‘Forever Blue’ campaign. This campaign celebrates great moments in the history of Chelsea Football Club in the push to promote the jerseys. The iconic moments preserved in blue are Petr Cech’s PK save off Bayern Munich’s Bastian Schweinsteiger to help seal the club’s 1st Champions League victory in 2012, Fernando Torres’s opening goal against Benfica to help Chelsea win last season’s Europa League, Gary Cahill’s volley against Spurs, Oscar’s wonder goal against Juventus, and Eden Hazard’s hat-trick against Newcastle earlier this season in the Premier League.
“The players all love to get involved in these campaigns and the idea of being “Forever Blue” is something that everyone at the club can relate to, as we all have our own unique memories from our careers,” Petr Cech said at the unveiling. “I know that my moment in the Champions League final will stay with me forever and I am excited to see that my sculpture will help me share that moment with the fans.”
What do you think about the new Chelsea Jersey? Is it nicer than more recent versions of the home jersey? How far will this jersey take the Blues in the Premier League and Europe next season?
