The English Football League Championship kicked off this weekend with a ton of exciting matches.

This is the final part in our series taking a look at the kits that all twenty four of the Championship’s club will wear during the 2014/15 season as they all seek promotion to the lucrative world’s most popular domestic competition – the Barclays Premier League.

You can see our previous 14/15 Championship kits installments here, here and here.

Now onto the uniforms that will be worn by some of smaller clubs of England’s second tier of soccer.

AFC Bournemouth

Seeking their first ever appearance in England’s first division, the Cherries were Saturday’s big winners in the Championship with a 4-0 win at Huddersfield Town.

With a team featuring former Ireland leftback Ian Harte and former Everton and England U-21 midfielder Dan Gosling, Bournemouth may be dark horses in the promotion race.

They will take the pitch in a three kit collection from Carbrini made up of a somewhat clerical looking striped black and red home kit, an all-white away strip, and a black and blue uniform.

Brentford FC

In the second division for the first time since the 1950s thanks to promotion from League One at the end of last season, the modest London outfit will be looking to seal establish themselves in the Championship this season.

Brentford

The Bees will do so in style in new kits from adidas that feature a couple of the latest designs from the German company. Brentford FC will campaign in their traditional red and white striped home shirt and a bright yellow away jersey this season. Airborne couriers SkyEx sponsor both.

Charlton Athletic FC

The former Premier League stalwarts are now heading into their third consecutive Championship season after falling all the way down to League One earlier in the decade.

The well-supported Addicks will wear 2014/15 kits sponsors by the University of Greenwich. Their home kit is red with a heavier than usual dose of white. Nike have furnished Charlton with an away uniform in two shades of dark gray and an orange third kit reminiscent of FC Barcelona’s 2013/14 alternate strip.

Huddersfield AFC

Also three seasons into their latest foray into England’s second tier, Huddersfield AFC will don 2014/15 home and away kits using two of Puma’s latest kit templates.

The Terriers are back this season in a Henley collared home shirt in sky blue and white stripes and a black and red hooped away jersey with a crewneck.

Huddersfield

They were released via a series of photos featuring Huddersfield’s young fans and several of their current players including Columbus, GA-born midfielder Duane Holmes.

Millwall FC

Immortalized in film via the soccer cult classic “Green Street Hooligans”, Millwall FC opened their 2014/15 season with a 2-0 win over former English champions Leeds United at the Den in London on Saturday.

The Lions are back in Macron kits this season and will continue to wear gear from the Italian company until 2019 following the extension of their now four-year old deal with the firm.

Millwall FC’s 14/15 home kit is a simple dark blue affair with a classic football shirt polo collar. Their alternate is less restrained and uses a bright yellow base with a retro-feel dark blue and white vertical band on its right side.

Rotherham United

The Millers return to the Championship via the League One playoffs after a torrid period that saw them fall descend to League Two for three seasons and face a near shutdown.

Favored by many oddsmakers for relegation, Rotherham kicked off the 2014/15 season with a 1-0 loss to promotion chasing Derby on Saturday.

Rotherham

As they attempt to defy the naysayers, Rotherham United will look good on the field in their customary home red and away white shirts. Both are furnished by Puma this season and use the same modern Henley collared design. They are sponsored by local shopping mall Parkgate.
