Now considered among the top five teams in the CONCACAF region, Honduras clinched direct qualification (no playoffs required) to the FIFA World Cup for the second tournament in a row.
With a squad made up of mainly domestic-based players along with a few MLS and European-based footballers, Los Catrachos will meet Switzerland, Ecuador and France in the group stage of Brasil 2014.
Here is a look at the Honduras 2014 World Cup home and away jerseys from Spanish-based sportswear firm Joma.
Featuring new kit designs (a benefit of being the Joma’s only team at the World Cup), the new shirts introduce a new team badge that now includes the text “HONDURAS” and the five stars on the Honduran flag within a familiar letter “H”.
The words “Honduras, Fe, Respeto, Valentía, Honestidad, Actitud” (Honduras, Faith, Respect, Courage, Honesty, Attitude) are printed on the both kit’s inside waistline taping.
Honduras debuted their white 2014 home jersey in a 2-1 win over Venezuela on March 5th.
