James Presented with a Golden Pair of adidas adiZero Cleats

James Rodriguez was impossible to stop in Brazil. The Colombian midfielder knocked in 6 goals in 5 matches on the way to the quarterfinals and won the 2014 Golden Boot Trophy. He was awarded the adidas Golden Boot Trophy as well as a custom pair of golden adidas adiZero cleats today Real Madrid’s Valdebebas training facility.
adidas made 6 pairs of this limited edition mi adidas adizero F50 cleat in tribute to the 6 goals the 23-year-old scored at the 2014 World Cup. The cleats will be given away today through a special give-away on James Rodríguez’s personal Twitter account (@jamesdrodriguez) and via @adidasfootball.
“I am delighted to accept this award on behalf of my family and my international team mates who have been there for me every step of the way,” said Rodriguez. “The tournament in Brazil was an unbelievable experience for me personally, but also for Colombia as a nation as the team reached heights we have never reached before.”

James finished alone atop the 2014 FIFA World Cup Golden Boot Table. He was followed by Germany’s Thomas Müller with 5 goals and Brazil’s Neymar and the Netherland’s Robin van Persie with 4 goals each. Five players finished with 3 goals.
The golden touch looks great but James is expected to be wearing the Neon Pink/Running White/Solar Blue colorway of the F50 adiZero cleat to open the La Liga campaign. He has been training in this colorway in preparation for the first kick.
