Japan was the 1st team to qualify for the 2014 World Cup in Brazil and on Monday adidas released the official home jersey of Japan that will be used next summer by the Samurai Blue.
The most distinctive feature of the all blue jersey is the ‘rising sun’ detail emanating from the national team badge. The subtle detail breaks up the jersey and draws the eye back to the heart of the matter, the team badge. The Japanese flag has been included over the national team badge.
The crew collar jersey also includes the adidas three-stripes ¾ of the length down the short sleeve and a peach-colored cuff around the base of the sleeve.
On the back of the jersey, a distressed peach-colored paint-stroke-like stripe goes across the top of the shoulders.
Japan has appeared at every World Cup since 1998. They advanced to the Round of 16 in 2002 when they were co-hosts as well as in 2010.
