The Naval Academy signed a multi-year partnership with Under Armour in January and they unveiled the new home soccer jersey that use unique custom numbers that pay tribute to past battles of the Naval and Marine Corps.
The white numbers include the names of famous battles inside gold border. Pearl Harbor, Okinawa, Mekong Delta, Cuban Missile Crisis are among the battles listed. A complete list of the battles is available on the United States Naval Academy website.
The navy blue jersey features a gold v-neck collar. The sleeve has an interesting cuff look with six pinstripes at the base of the sleeve which represent the 6 fleets of the Navy. A thick gold stripe runs from the under side of the arm down each side of the jersey.
