Mercurial-superfly-1First introduced in 1998, the Nike Mercurial Superfly is a leader when it comes to revolutionizing speed on the field.  The goal of the cleat is to provide players with the needed tools to get to the ball the fastest and then have the touch to score the goal.

Cristiano Ronaldo was on hand in Madrid, along with Soccer365, to unveil the new cleat.

The DFC is not the only new feature of the cleat.  The Nike Flyknit technology is used to have less material between foot and ball (which also cuts down on the weight) and improve a player’s touch on the ball.

And added studs at the heel and additional traction at the toe to give the perfect finish touch to the last 10% of a player’s stride.
