Spain Release Jersey for 2014 World Cup

Spain and adidas released the home jersey that La Furia Roja will defend their 2010 world title in Brazil next year.  The red jersey will feature flashes of gold rather than yellow in tribute to the golden generation of Spanish soccer and their success in South Africa and the European Championships.

Spain_Jersey_2The solid jersey has subtle vertical red striping and crew collar and ¾ stripes on the sleeves.  In keeping with the tradition of the other federation jerseys, adidas has applied a gold stripe across the shoulders which looks better than the similar applications on other jerseys.

Spain_3The Spanish team badge is over the heart while the adidas logo is on the center of the chest to allow room for the ‘FIFA World Champions’ badge over the right chest.

The jersey will be paired with red shorts and red socks.

The jersey will debut on the field against Equatorial Guinea on Friday.

What do you think of the new Spain soccer jersey?  Is this the best release for Brazil thus far from adidas?  If not what jersey do you prefer?

The crown logo should be the old one with the blue background instead of red, it looks cheap and ugly.
The pants are red?, that’s not Spain!
Spain is blue and red with shocks to be red, black and yellow.
The front of the jersey looks crowded. You need to think you still have to put the number in the front.
Overall, I don’t like it. Disappointed.
