Union Espanolo is one of Chile’s top soccer clubs. The club was founded in 1897 and has won the Primera Division 7 times. The official jersey is hard to find in the U.S. but the World Soccer Shop has landed a limited number so check them out and Get in the Gear.
Los Rojos de Santa Laura (Santa Laura’s reds) have a cool looking jersey made by apparel sponsor Joma. The predominantly red jersey features gold sleeves with a wide red cuff as well as gold paneling on the shoulders. It has a red crew collar.
The team badge is an Eagle holding a UE badge and is sewn onto the jersey. Very classic and distinct looking! The Joma logo is embroidered on the jersey. The sponsors logo Universidad SEK and league sponsors are screened on the front and sleeves of the jersey.
Team sponsor Universidad SEK is an Ecuadorian university with campuses in Ecuador, Chile, and Spain. The club’s home stadium, Estadio Santa Laura–Universidad SEK, is named after the university.
Their traditional rivals are Palestino. Palestino recently had some controversy surrounding their jersey and the number 1 they were using on it.
Get in the Gear. The World Soccer Shop has the Union Espanolo soccer jersey. A rare item make sure to add it to your collection before these fly off the shelf.
